Madden, 67, Kuhntown, passed on March 8, 2008, at home. Born Sept. 19, 1940, in Somerset, he is the son of the late Ivo Stephens and Mary Madden, Kuhntown. He is preceded in death by his father; wife, Regina Madden; and brothers, Ross Martin Stephens and G.M. "Pete" Stephens. He is survived by his mother; children, Michael Madden, Texas; Kimberly R. Burgy, Akron, Ohio; Kelly Madden (and Bobbie), McHenry, Md.; and Linda Hoiles, Akron; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Leroy Stitt. He was a retired superintendent for the DeBartolo Construction Co. in Akron, and was a 30-year member of the Laborers' Union. He loved to spend time with his dogs "Pup," "Taz," and "Minnie." At Mr. Madden's request there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
