    Carmelo Magazzu, 78, Boswell RD 2, died Dec. 23, 1978, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 11, 1900, in Messina, Italy.  Preceded
  in death by parents; one daughter, Nellie; two brothers and two
  sisters.  Survived by wife, Josephine Mattalino; and these children:
  Virginia, wife of Bruce Lottig, Falls Church, Va.; Anthony, married
  to Sara Jane Cole, Gray; and Joseph, married to the former Beverly
  Myers, Cleveland, Ohio.  Also survived by six grandchildren and one
  great-grandson.  
    Retired Jenners Township businessman.  Formerly operated Magazzu's
  Tavarn.  Member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset.  
    Friends were recieved Sunday and Monday in the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be today at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's
  Roman Catholic Church, the Rev. Samuel Tomaselli officiating. 
  Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Jenner Township.
