He had been ill for 2 1/2 months. Born Sept. 26, 1923 in Listie, a son of the late John Baptiste and Elizabeth Baroni Magnetto. He had resided in the Columbiana area for six years, and was a former resident of Carrolton, Ohio. Retired in December 1983 as the administrator for Columbiana County Water & Sewer Department, formerly employed by the W.E. Quicksall Co. in New Philadelphia, Ohio as a project representative and inspector. A member of the Church of the Nazarene of Columbiana, and a WW II Army veteran. Survived by wife the former Nelda Conn, whom he married March 29, 1949; daughter Mrs. Garry (Barbara) Ziegler of Allentown, Pa.; six sisters: Mrs. James (Anna) Powell of North Fort Myers, Fla.; Mrs. George (Elnora) Melegari, Mrs. (Jenny) Carl and Mrs. Carl (Katharine) Johnstone, all of Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Andrew (Margaret) McCaig Jr. of Wintersville, Ohio; Mrs. Harvey (Dorothy) Mull of Listie; brother Joseph Magnetto of Listie, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by two brothers, John and Stephen, and a sister Marian Parker. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wed. at the Church with Pastor Marion Barber officiating. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tues. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment 3:30 p.m. Wed., Somerset Memorial Park.
