    Hazel Virginia Mahaffey, 77, of Confluence, died Aug. 23, 2000, at
  her home.  She was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Grantsville, Md.  A
  daughter of Wilson E. and Lydia (Wisseman) Miller.  Preceded in death
  by parents, husbands, Joseph T. Clouse and William L. Mahaffey,
  brothers, Sherman, Martin, Lawrence and Raymond, and sisters, Verna
  Jones and Leona Speed.  She is survived by a son, Norton H. Clouse,
  and his wife, H. Susie Coddington of Columbia, Md.; a brother, Ivan
  E. Miller of Grantsville; and sisters, Melba Ferrell of Baltimore,
  Md.; and Wilma Younkin of Confluence.
    Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m, Thursday, and 10 a.m. to
  9 p.m., Friday, at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where
  services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Arthur J.
  Gotjen officiating.  Interment to follow in Addison Cemetery.
