Va. a son of Reese and Lenora (Helmick) Mahl. Preceded in death by parents, brother Hugh and sister Elizabeth Clark. Survived by wife, the former Mabel Clark and these children: Thelma, wife of Dan Kennedy, Greenbelt, Md.; Opal, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Shelby, wife of Richard Bailey, of Boswell, Robert, married to the former Bertha Goad, of Olive Branch, Miss.; Ruth Murray, of Ventura, Calif.; Margaret, wife of George Benoit, of Groton, Conn.; Darlene, wife of Jeffery Burrell, of Downingtown; and Debra McEwen, of Pawcatuck, Conn. Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brother of Kathleen, of Boswell RD 3 and Sheffy, of Stonington, Conn. Retired from Eletric Boat in Groton, Conn. Former employee of Johnstown Works, Bethlehem Steel. He observed his 55th wedding anniversary March 17, 1989. Arrangements in charge of Hoffman Funeral Home, Boswell. Incomplete.
