Ski Village), died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, in UPMC Presbyterian-University Hospital. He was born May 18, 1940, in Swissvale, a son of Catherine Martincevic Majhab of Swissvale, and the late Frank Majhan. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a brother, Judge Thomas Majhan. He is survived by his fiancee, Patricia Murphy Naugle; daughter, Susan Majhan of Ligonier; two sons, Frank Majhan of Ligonier and John and his wife Trisha Majhan of Boswell; two stepdaughters, Heather Stephens and her husband, Tim, of New Alexandria and Gretchen Stone and her husband Justin of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren: Jacob Gaddis, Collin and Chase Majhan and Laurel, Sarah and Ariel Stephens; and two sisters, Cabrina Woodruff and her husband Woody and Monica Rumbaugh and her husband Scott, all of Butler. John owned and operated Metalworking International and Majhan and Associates, both in Ligonier. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ligonier, the Society of Carbide and Tooling Engineers 10, American Legion 945 of Wormleysburg and the Croatian Fraternal Union of America. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 144 East Main St., Ligonier. A blessing service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. In the funeral chapel followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph P. Maddalena officiating. A vigil service for the deceased will be held in the funeral chapel 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army, United Fire Companies of Ligonier, or to the Jennerstown Volunteer Fire Co.
