Malnar, 81, Hollsopple, died May 28, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 22, 1925, in Hooversville, son of Louis Sr. and Joshephine (Server) Malnar. Preceded in death by parents, and sisters, Frances Shubert and Mary Adams. Survived by wife of 23 years, the former Karen Miller- Mitchell; and these children, Patricia, married to Jack Satkovich; Mary Lou Shook, and companion, Stephen Pomerleau; Robert Malnar; and Ronda. Also survived by stepchildren, Stacey Mitchell; Kevin Mitchell and fiancˇe, Lan; and Suzette Shroyer; also 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was a POW veteran of World War II. Member of Hooversville VFW Post 7565, Senior Life of Johnstown and life mem- ber of Hollsopple Fire Co. He was a former police chief of Hooversville and Somerset County constable. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hooversville United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Hamilton officiating.
