(Salem) 08/02/05 Daily American Debbie A. (Salem) Mandichak, 52, Somerset, died Aug. 1, 2005, at Windber Hospice. Born Aug. 19, 1952, in Johnstown, daughter of Samuel A. and Ceil A. (Ziemba) Salem. Preceded in death by father; brother, William S. Salem; father- and mother-in-law George and Eleanor Mandichak. Survived by mother, Ceil A. Salem, Johnstown; husband, Jim, and sons, Chad and Ian Mandichak, Somerset; brother, Russ E., married to Connie (Cobaugh) Salem; sister, Kathy S., married to Paul Cunningham; sister-in-law, Tricia Mandichak, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Ed, married to Margo Mandichak, Florida; nephews, Ryan, Scott, BJ, Jeremy, Zack and Colin; nieces, Shaun, Michaela and Leah. A 1971 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. Employed for 32 years at AmeriServ Financial. Past vice president and member of USWA Local Union and member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. She was a loving wife and mother. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Boulevard, where Trisagion Prayers will be sung 7 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday, with the funeral service following at St. Mary Church. The Very Rev. Father Donald Shadid officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Mary Building Fund or Windber Hospice in her memory.
