  MANGES
  
  Mrs. Bessie F. Manges, 71, Hooversville RD 1, died Jan. 8, 1980, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 26, 1908, in Quemahoning
  Township, daughter of Russell and Emma (Ogline) Stern.  Preceded in
  death by parents; husband, Charles W. Sr.; three brothers and five
  sisters.  Survived by these children: Donald, McDonald, Ohio; Mary
  Horner, Woodbridge, Va.; Mrs. Harry (Betty) Storey, Niles, Ohio; Mrs.
  Ray (Ruth) Powell, Hooversville RD 1; Charles Jr., Stoystown RD 1; and
  Jerry, Stafford, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 
  Sister of Mrs. Olive Manges, Jerome; Mrs. Virginia Cole, Boswell:
  Clay, Stoystown RD 1; James, Listie; John, Quecreek.  Member of the
  Mount Tabor United Church of Christ.  Family received friends
  Wednesday evening and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown where services will
  be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.  If friends desire, contributions may
  be made to the American Cancer Society.
