  MANGES, Merrill J.
  
  Merrill J. Manges, 66, of Stoystown RD 3, died April 15, 1979 in
  Windber Hospital.  Born June 14, 1912 in St. Michael, the son of the
  late Clyde and Ella (Zimmerman) Manges.  Survived by wife, the former
  Thelma McNeal, whom he married Feb. 5, 1938; son, Kenneth, of Palm
  Beach, Fla., also four grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Ila Shaffer of
  Hooversville, Mrs. Ruth Saylor of Windber, and Mrs. Reuben (Faye)
  Kreps of Linglestown.  He was a retired sawmill owner and operator
  and life-member of the Quemahoning Rod and Gun Club.  The family will
  receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Deaner Funeral
  HOme, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday
  with Mr. Donald Cortese, speaker, assisted by the Rev. Paul
  Pikerowski and the Rev. Marlin A. Miller.  Interment, Walker
  Cemetery, Shanksville.
