PETER MANKAMIER

  Peter Mankamier, 72, collapsed and died at 10:45 a.m. last Sunday when he was 
shaving himself at his home, 200 Grant St., Meyersdale.  Dr. C. T. Saylor of 
Rockwood, deputy coroner, attributed death to a heart attack.
  Mr. Mankamier is survived by four children - Mrs. John Paul, Jennerstown; 
Harry H. and Roy, Somerset, and Mrs. Daniel Powell, Johnstown.  He also left 9 
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, a brother, Dennis Mankamier, 
Cumberland, Md., and five sisters - Mrs. John Marker, Rockwood; Mrs. Charles 
Meyers, South Connellsville; Mrs. David Miller, Somerset; Mrs. Ross Zufall, 
Akron, O., and Mrs. James Christner, Torrington, Wyo.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Konhaus Funeral 
Home by Rev. John Hoenstine, pastor of the Garrett Lutheran Church.  Interment 
was made in Center Lutheran Church Cemetery.
