Mantini, 68, of North Walnut Street, Davidsville, died Jan. 20, 2001 at his home. Born March 30, 1932 in Hollsopple, son of Ernest and Rita (DeFelice) Mantini. Preceded in death by parents, and brother Alfred. Survived by brothers Patsy Sr., married to the former Mamie Centorami, Davidsville; sister-in-law Agnes Mantini, Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews Tita Gibson, Patsy Jr., Michael, Daniel, Matthew, Dr. Lisa, Janis, John Jr., Dr. Ernest and Dr. Rocco Mantini. Also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews. A member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, The University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He was a retired local dentist, and former Captain with the US Air Force. Avid gardener having won numberous county fair awards. He also was a world traveler. He will be remembered most as a very kind and generous person. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville, where vigil for the deceased will be held Tuesday afternoon. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne Church. The Rev. Father Michael Lewandowski, OFM Conv. celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vito's name may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 700, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15235, or St. Anne Church, 205 Woodstown Highway, Davidsville, Pa. 15928-0500.
