Born Feb. 20, 1923, in Berlin, a daughter of Oliver Milton and Cleo Viatrice (Weigle) Sarver. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William Mapes Jr., who died July 13, 2003; son, William "Billy" Mapes III; brothers, Melvin, Milton, Dalton, Lloyd, Russell, Ernest and Clyde Sarver; sister, Violetta Messina. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Larry R. (Donna Jean) Rhoads and Ms. Debra Ann Weyand; granddaughters, Jacquelyne Ann Rhoads and Jennifer Autumn Weyand, all of Somerset. Sister of Mrs. Rosella Shumaker, Rock City, Mich.; and Donald E. Sarver, Baden. Years ago she had worked for Musser Bakery. She was a member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, also a member of the Loyal Star of the Railroad. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Mark S. Bendes and the Rev.
