  M. Jane Mapes, 75, of Somerset died March 18, 2003 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Oct. 12, 1927 in Somerset, she was the daughter of
  William and Elizabeth (Rodger) Mapes.  Preceded in death by parents
  daughter Cathy Jane Shaw; brothers, Charles, Robert and Louis
  Mapes.  Survived by grandchildren:  Catrina J. Mapes and fiancE
  Christopher Folts of Somerset; Robert A. Shaw III of Fort Leonard
  Wood, Mo.; sister Mrs. Catherine Bertoldi of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio;
  brother William Mapes Jr. and wife Beulah of Somerset.  A 1945
  graduate of Somerset High School.  Member of Somerset Church of the
  Brethren.  Self employed baby sitter for 28 years.  No visitation or
  viewing.  Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset.  Rev. Mark S. Bendes and Rev.
  Roger L. Forry officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial
  Park.  Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association,
  400 Luray Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
