All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ----------------------------------------------- MARANICH, Michael 09/11/07 Daily American Michael Maranich, 87, Vineland, N.J., passed away early Monday morning in the Lincoln Specialty Care Center, Vineland, after being in failing health. Mr. Maranich was born and raised in Finleyville, where he was a longtime resident before moving to Meyersdale and Berlin and finally to Vineland to be near his children. He is the son of the late Mary (Bobic) and Charles Maranich. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary (Polacek); two daughters, Marsha and husband, Ed Fransko, Vineland; Janice Hammerling and Arnold Mead, Vineland; one sister, Helen and her husband, Dale Ely, Finleyville; seven grand- grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Before retiring, Mike was a self-employed building contractor for many years. He is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Finleyville American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose where he was honored as a life member. Mike also enjoyed the Mingo Rod and Gun Club in his younger years. Graveside funeral services will be conducted by his grandson, the Rev. Michael E.
