    Marion G. Mardis, 79, Friedens RD 1, formerly of Bakersville, died
  Oct. 17, 1988, in Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Nov. 15, 1908, in
  Centre County, Pa., daughter of the late Emanuel L. and Ella Kate
  (Zimmerman) Miller.  Preceded by husband Roy, daughter Naomi, son
  Wesley and three grandchildren.  Survived by these children: Mrs.
  Robert E. (Lois) Womer, Lemont, Pa.; Lee J., Woodbine, Md.; Ms. Judy
  Luttig, Pittsburgh; George E., Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Jerry S. (Mona)
  Berkey, Somerset RD 6; and Mrs. Thomas D. (Rebecca) St. Clair,
  Boswell RD 2; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one
  great-granddaughter.  Sister of Mrs. Meredith L. McFarland, Seattle,
  and Mrs. Erma Devoe Hill, Apopka, Fla.  Member of Mt. Zion Lutheran
  Church and Bakersville Homemakers. Friends received 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday (today) at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will
  be 1 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Donald L. Knowles officiating.
  Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.  Contributions may be made
  to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.
