  MARDIS
    
    Sadie E. Mardis, 89, Rockwood, died March 22, 1983, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born May 2, 1893, in Laurelville, daughter of
  Clark and Cora Ellen (Hoover) Ridenour.  Survived by one sister, Mrs.
  Helen (Ridenour) Hess, Inverness, Md.; four grandchildren: Mrs. James
  (Patricia) Stevanus and Robert Wayne Mardis, both of Rockwood; William
  Livengood, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Barbara Poli, Kalkaska, Mich.; and
  seven great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her husband, Charles,
  who died April 29, 1951; also by her daughter, Evelyn Livengood; and a
  son, James Mardis.  Member of Christ United Methodist Church, Rockwood.
  Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday,
  where services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with her pastor,
  the Rev. Donald Krestar, officiating.  Interment to follow in
  Greenridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
