All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ADAM MARK The body of Adam Mark, who was fatally injured on Sunday, March 23, when he was run down by an automobile on the highway near Foustwell, dying in the Windber Hospital a few hours later, was brought to the home of his sister, Mrs. Robert Spence, Large Street, where the funeral services were conducted by Rev. George A. Fallon, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, on Wednesday afternoon following the accident, with interment in Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price. Mr. Mark was well known here by the older residents, having for some time been employed in the mines in this locality. He was aged 63 years and single. Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Janet D. McFarland and son, Peter C. McFarland, Jr., Mrs. Wm. Vogel and daughter, Mary Catherine, of Cumberland, Md., and a nephew, Thomas Mark, of Crucible, Pa. Meyersdale Republican, April 3, 1930
