He was born Sept. 29, 1893, in Black Township, a son of John and Emma (Mankameyer) Marker. Survived by two sons: Jack C. Marker, Rockwood RD 2; and George Marker Jr., Rockwood RD 1; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, John, in 1972; his wife, Carrie (Bittner) Marker, on Aug. 6, 1975; also by his parents; one brother and two sisters. He was a retired farmer and barn painter. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, where services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Rex Wasser officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising.
