Marker, 90, of Markleton RD 1, died Aug. 30, 1993, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born March 26, 1903, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. A daughter of the late Silas and Dora (Nicholson) Dwire. Preceded in death by husband, Frank "Skinny"; an infant daughter; four brothers-Lloyd, Clyde, Harry and Ray "Irish" and three sisters-Esther Patton, Olive Turney and Leona Garlitz. Survived by a sister, Estella "Polly" Houpt of Rockwood, and two brothers, Frank "Dutch" Dwire of Markleton and Jack Dwire of Vandergrift. Member of the Kingwood Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Auxiliary of the New Centerville VFD. Lifelong member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Along with her husband, she owned and operated a general store in Kingwood for many years. Friends will be received from 2 until 9 p.m. today at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. John H. Snyder officiating.
