ALFRED W. MARKS

  Alfred W. Marks, 89, a veteran of the Spanish American War, died at the home 
of his niece, Mrs. Anna Hannah in Rockwood.  He served as a first lieutenant in 
the U.S. Army from May, 1898, to November, 1898.  He enlisted in the Army in 
1885.  Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, Oct. 7, by 
Rev. J. C. Moses, pastor of the Rockwood United Brethren Church.  Interment in 
the New Centerville Cemetery.
