Born Oct. 17, 1914, in Thomas Dale, Somerset County, she was a daughter of Henry and Maggie (Beener) Gilbert. Preceded in death by parents, one sister, and two brothers. Survived by husband, Henry L.; and three children: Robert McTonic, married to the former Faye Benson, Jerome; Norbert Lou McTonic, at home; Mary Ann Horner, Somerset; 13 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. Sister of Herbert, Burlington, N.J., and Francis and Charles, both of Hollsopple RD 2. Member of St. John Gaulbert's Catholic Church, Johnstown. Former cook for Penn Traffic Co., and managed Greyhound Restaurant at Penn Central Station, Johnstown. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boswell, with the Rev. James F. Crookston. Interment, St. James Cemetery. Daily American, August 25, 1981 [M0194]
