(Verna) Marone, 80, of Hollsopple, died Sept. 24, 2000 at Memorial Medical Center. Born in Jerome, she was the daughter of Frank and Annie Zarbis Urban. Preceded in death by parents, first husband Joseph Gironda who died in 1942, husband Vito James Marone who died Feb. 3, 1971, brothers William, Fritz, John and Charles Urban, and sisters Anna Bracken and Mary Klewicky. Survived by these children: Frank Gironda, married to former Cheryl Case, Glassport, John, married to the former Barbara Zona, McComb, Ohio, and Rosemary, wife of John Ryan, Hooversville; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and a special granddaughter to whom she loved very much, Heidi Bowman, fiancC of grandson Jim Ryan. Sister of Agnes Klewicky, Kenosha, Wis. She was also survived by special nieces Verna and Mary Louise Miller and numerous nieces and nephews and relatives. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville and former Co-owner of Marone Restaurant, Hollsopple. She was retired from Mary Gina Sewing Factory, Hollsopple. Family receiving friends 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday with a vigil for the deceased Tuesday afternoon at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hooversville with Rev. Romulus O.F.M. Conv. Committal St. Anne Cemetery. Daily American, September 25, 2000 [M0197]
