Marshall, 71, Hollsopple, died June 25, 1994, at Conemaugh hospital. Born July 1, 1922, in Hollsopple, son of Albert J. and Mary L. (Holsopple) Marshall. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Harry C. Survived by wife, the former Esther Rhodes, and these children: William H., married to the former Linda Birch, Wilbur; Phyllis Rohde, Hollsopple; Jeffrey, at home; four grandchildren: A. James and Maliwann Marshall, Michael and Kirk Rohde; step-grandchildren, Michele and Rodney Shaffer Jr., and one great-step-granddaughter, Kara. Brother of Hazel Wagner, Hollsopple; Leone Ringler, Blough; Doris Mishler, Hollsopple; Eileen Holsopple, Blough, and sister-in-law, Priscilla Marshall of Hollsopple. Member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Hollsopple, where he served as past council member, Sunday School superintendent and was very active in church affairs. Retired from the U.S. Post Office as the postmaster of the Hollsopple Post Office. Member of Hollsopple Volunteer Fire Company where he was a former chief. Also served as mayor and council member. Member of Community Action Center. An Army veteran of World War II. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, where remains will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service, Rev. Thomas Michalko. Interment, Custer Cemetery.
