Union St., Somerset, died March 23, 1973, in Somerset Community Hospital. She was born in Somerset County Oct. 26, 1907, a daughter of the late Milton J. and Anna Maust Shank. She was also preceded in death by her husband Earl F. and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Miller. She is survived by a daughter Dorothy, wife of Richard Crush of Irwin, and a son Dale E. of Glendora, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Clinton McCreary of Jennerstown, Mrs. George Brant of Somerset and Mrs. Fern Davis of Vencie, Fla. She was a member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, CIC Sunday School Class, Somerset Rebekah Lodge and Somerset Grange. She was a past matron of Trinity Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Somerset. She was employed by the J. C. Penney Company. Friends will be received after 3 p.m. today in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Paul R. White. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Eastern Star memorial service Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and Rebekah memorial service Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
