CHRISTOPHER MARTEN

  Howard and George Marten, who reside near Meyersdale, attended the funeral of 
their father, Christopher Marten, aged 66, who died at the home of his daughter, 
Mrs. Edward Summers, at Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday morning.  He was a native of 
Wellersburg, this county.  Among his other surviving children are Mrs. John 
Jackson, of Sand Patch; Walter Marten, of Frostburg, Md.; Leroy and Charles 
Marten, Mrs. Eugene Debb and Mrs. Edward Summers, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Louis 
Marten, of Dallas, Texas. Two sisters, Mrs. Peter Michaels, of Wellersburg, and 
Mrs. Mary Sweitzer, of Macdonaldton, and two brothers, Henry and William Marten, 
of Youngstown, Ohio, and his wife, Mrs. Catherine Marten, also survive.
