  ANNA E. MARTENEY
  
    Anna E. Marteney, 77, Meyersdale RD 1, died Sept. 1, 1983, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    She was born Aug. 29, 1906, in Elk Lick Township, daughter of the
  late John and Amanda (Murray) Brown.  She was preceded in death by
  three brothers.
    She is survived by husband, Simon, and three children: Jack,
  Wichita Falls, Texas; Paul, Meyersdale; and Nancy, wife of Melvin
  Shaffer, of Berlin RD 4.  Also seven grandchildren and eight
  great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of Martha Wheeling,
  California; Ella Winters, Meyersdale RD 3; Florence Christner,
  Boynton; Elizabeth Blocher and Clarence Brown, both of Salisbury. 
  She was a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.
    Friends were received at the Leckemby Funeral Home where services
  were held with the Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.
    Family suggests contributions be made to Memorial Fund of the
  Church of the Brethren or Cancer Society.
