Martin, 51, of Lakeville, Indiana, died April 7, 1986, at South Bend Memorial Hospital, after being seriously ill for six months. He was born May 27, 1934, in Meyersdale, a son of George and Emma (Jackson) Martin. He had resided in the Lakeville area for 26 years. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Danner) Martin; a son, Larry D. Martin, of Bremen, Ind.; a daughter, Linda E. Martin, of Lakeville, Ind.; one grandson and two brothers, George and Glenn, both of Meyersdale RD 3. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edgar. He was a bulk oil and gas truck driver for Bellman Amoco Oil Co., of Bremen, Indiana. He attended Grace Fellowship Church, St. Joseph County. Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. April 9, at the Community Gospel Church, Bremen, Indiana with Pastor Robert Hueni officiating, using the Scripture from Ecclesiastes 7:1 "A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death, than the day of birth."
