  MARTIN
  
  John A. "Jack" Martin, 49, of Black Twp., passed on Oct. 31, 2002 at
  home.  Born Nov. 3, 1952 in Black Twp., a son of the late Alva R. and
  Betty (Kendall) Martin.  He is survived by his sister Virginia,
  married to Joseph Stuby of Altoona, aunt, Shirley, married to Paul
  Miller of Friedens and several cousins.  He was a former Black Twp.
  supervisor.  He was a member of the New Centerville and Rural Fire
  Co., the Rockwood American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in
  Somerset and the Rockwood Sportsmen.  Friends will be received from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood where a
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Randy Newell
  officiating.  Interment Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers,
  memorial contributions may be sent to the Humane Society at P.O. Box
  182 Somerset, Pa. 15501 or a charity of choice.
