Martin, 88, of Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate, died Sept. 6, 1982, at the Somerset Community Hospital. He was born March 12, 1894, in Meyersdale, son of the late Andrew Lincoln and Mary Jane (Lohr) Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn S. Martin, in 1981; one brother, Harry; and one sister, Hester Martin. He is survived by one daughter, Jolene, of Somerset; one sister, Dora Martin, Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown; one niece, Mrs. Geneva Walters, of Somerset; and one nephew, Jack Martin, of Somerset and Port Charlotte, Fla. He was a life-member of the Somerset Volunteer Fire Department; life-member of 0X5 Club of America (Pioneers of Aviation); World War I Veteran U.S. Navy Submarine Division; life-member of the Somerset Aero Club; Samuel S. Crouse Post 181 Somerset American Legion; operator and manager of the Somerset County Airport for over 35 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Somerset. Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services were conducted with the Rev. Percy Ellenberger officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery.
