Born Feb. 11, 1886, in Defiance, Bedford County, daughter of Dr. James F. and Elizabeth McElwee Price. Preceded in death by parents, husband William H., who died April 23, 1943, daughter Mrs. Leona Harvey, who died Nov. 28, 1943, and a son William H. Jr., who died Aug. 1, 1968. Survived by these children: John married to the former Ruth Walker, Hagerstown, Md.; Arline, wife of Curtis Shumaker, Pasadena, Md.; Ruth, widow of Charles L. Miller, Turtle Creek; Louise (Babe) Deal; with whom Mrs. Martin resided, Boswell. Robert married to the former Teresa Baker, Kantner; Cleo, widow of Kenneth Bowman, Pasadena, Md.; and Betty, widow of Clarence Felhauer, of Kantner; 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Was a sister of James F., Elmira, New York, and Thomas, Altoona. Member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Boswell since 1914 and Ladies Bible Class of the church. Former member of Silver Ray Rebekah Lodge, Boswell and a past Noble Grand. Now a member of Wimodausis Lodge 217, Somerset, charter member and past president of Auxiliary to Boswell Volunteer Fire Dept. Member and past president of Auxiliary to Boswell American Legion Post 461. Friends were received from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. George A. Clark officiating. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. Auxiliary to fire dept. Service 7 p.m. Monday, followed by Legion Auxiliary and 7:30 p.m. Rebekah Lodge service was held Sunday at 7 p.m. Somerset American, August 2, 1976 [M0272]
