Born May 3, 1925, in Somerset, son of Paul Clifford and Lucy Mae (Critchfield) Martz Sr. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Jack L. Martz. Survived by wife, the former Mary Louise Mangne, to whom married 50 years on July 19, 1997; son, Jerry A. Martz of Somerset; grandson, Cody Anthony Martz. Brother of Mrs. Vivian Harkcom of Cocoa, Fla., and Paul C. Martz Jr., Somerset. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Lodge 358, F.&A.M., Somerset. U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Life member of VFW Post 554, Somerset, and Disabled American Veterans. Conductor for the B&O Railroad, retiring April 15, 1974. 1943 graduate of Somerset High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr., officiating.
