CLARA E. MARTZ

  Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Martz, widow of Harvey C. Martz, died at her home on 
Monday, January 13, at about 3:45 p.m., of a cerebral hemorrage.  She was in 
poor health the last 5 years, and was bedfast since last September.
  Mrs. Martz was born in Garrett County, Maryland, on February 10, 1878, a 
daughter of William and Catherine (Hutzel) Enfield.  She was 73 years, 11 months 
and 3 days old at her death in 1923.  She was a lifelong member of St. John's 
Evangelical and Reformed Church.
  She is survived by two daughters; Grace, wife of Marshall Grant of Pinto, Md. 
and Edith Martz; four sons; Elmer of Berlin; Harry and Homer, LaVale, Md., and 
Hubert, Cresaptown, Md.; three sisters; Mrs. Ida Ross, Salisbury; Mrs. Lorena 
Fox, Miami, Florida, and Mrs. Amanda Albright, Garrett, and 17 grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be conducted at her home at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, 
January 16, with her pastor, Rev. Ira S. Monn, officiating.  Interment will be 
in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas.
