She was born Aug. 30, 1912, in Berlin, daughter of Harry and Clara (Walker) Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by parents and brothers Henry and Richard. She is survived by husband, Kermit Martz; and one son, William Kermit Martz of Nyack, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Ronald Fisher of Berlin; and three brothers, William of Berlin, and Bertram and Donald, both of Baltimore, Md. She had been employed as secretary to the Director of Department of Public Assistance in Somerset, and was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Altoona; Faith Circle and the First Lutheran Church Altar Guild, the Allegheny Lutheran Home Women's Auxiliary, the Altoona Women's Club, life member of the YWCA, past president of the Altoona Dandelions, member of the Altoona Hospital Women's Auxiliary and the Blair County Arts Foundation. She was a graduate of Catherman's Business School, Cumberland, Md. Friends were received in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home, 2636 W. Chestnut Ave., Altoona. The funeral service was held in the funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Glenn L. Stahl. Interment, Alto Rest Cemetery, Altoona. The Republic, September 23, 1982 [M0297]
