(Indian) Martz, 56, of RD 1, Frostburg, Md., died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1988, in the Hospice Unit of Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Md. Born July 29, 1931, at Wellersburg, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Nevada (May) Martz. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia (Waltz) Martz in 1937. He had been employed as a [sic] apprentice boilermaker with the B&O Railroad; as a welder with Kaiser Refractories in Zihlman, and as a laborer with the Cuddington Lumber Company in Shaft. He attended the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lonaconing, Md. Surviving are his widow, Dorcas (Watson) Martz; his step-mother, Mrs. Edna Hosselrode Martz, East Lake, Ohio; five sons, Robert N. Martz, Jr., East Lake, Ohio; James D. Martz, Jonathan A. Martz and Paul D. Martz, all three at home; and Matthew Martz; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Bratley, Mrs. Debbie Bishop, and Mrs. Kathy Kaleal, all three of East Lake; two brothers, Ronald Martz and James Martz, both of East Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Jean Foutz, Midland, Md.; Mrs. Shirley Scarbrough and Mrs. Neva Sands, both of East Lake; and seven grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. George R. Loar. Interment, Hyndman Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Foutz, William Foutz Sr., William Foutz Jr., Wallace Sands, Gerald Willison and Timothy Willison. The Republic, February 11, 1988 [M0318]
