Born Feb. 19, 1922, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Tarquinio and Louise (Mazzaferri) Mash and grew up in Ralphton. Also preceded in death by son John Jr., sisters Lena Yancey and Sophia Dorcy, and brothers Joseph, Arvel and Samuel. Survived by wife of 59 years, former Grace M. Foust and these sons: Thomas, married to the former Linda Cavalet, Altoona; Ronald, married to the former Cynthia Rodgers; David, married to the former Diana Gleto, and Dennis, married to the former Kathleen Nihoff, all of Windber. Also grandchildren Nathan and Christian Mash, Angela (Mash) Partner and Todd Mash, Ronald Jr., and Domenic Mash, David, Kristi, Heather, and Nicole Mash, and one great-grandchild. Brother of Geraldine, wife of Jack Spears, Missouri, and Julius, married to the former Betty Kimack, Vintondale. Also survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy Mash, Windber and Julia Mash, Gray, and numerous nieces and nephews. Squeaky was a retired coal miner and member of UMWA, Abruzzi Lodge, ISDA, Windber VFW, and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday., Fathers Mark Reifel, TOR and Wesley Mash, nephew of deceased con-celebrants. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Meek Funeral Home, Inc., Windber where vigil for the deceased will be held in the afternoon. Committal St. Anthony Mausoleum.
