Born Feb. 15, 1907, in Somerset Township, daughter of the late Franklin and Ida (Beal) Baker. Raised in the home of the late William and Carrie Elizabeth (Martz) Beal, Brothersvalley Township. Survived by her husband, Joseph Earl Mason, to whom she was married on Jan. 13, 1927; three children: William Ward, Wildwood, N.J.; Donald Joseph, Berlin; and Mrs. William (Shirley Marie) Martin, Three Springs; five foster daughters: Mrs. Malvin (Emily Werner) Henry, Garrett; Mrs. Donald (Evelyn Werner) Coulter, Butler; Mrs. Robert F. (Faye Kallman) Glessner, Berlin RD 3; Mrs. Larry (Vivian Jean Dunmyer) Gindlesperger, Berlin; and Jeanne Shroyer, Lancaster; eight grandchildren; one great grandson and 17 foster grandchildren; a brother, Henry Baker, Lakewood, Ohio; and a foster sister, Mrs. Edward (Ruth Raley) Shaffer, Somerset. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, and former member of Valley Grange 878. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson officiating. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Martin Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
