  HERBERT MASON
  
    Herbert Mason, 66, of RD 2, Grantsville, Md., died March 18, 1988
  in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    Born in Jennings, Md., Feb. 2, 1922, he was the son of the late
  Wilson and Eliza Jane (Burkholder) Mason.
    He was an Army veteran of World War II.
    Surviving are four brothers: Galen Mason, Salisbury; Dewey Mason,
  Grantsville, Md.; Paul Mason, Akron, Ohio; and Ellis Mason,
  Listonburg; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Bittinger, Grantsville, Md.; and
  Mrs. Leona Bennett, Hagerstown, Md.; and a number of nieces and
  nephews.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md.,
  where services were conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. George
  Plants.  Interment, Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, near Cumberland, Md.
