    Joseph E. Mason, 89, Three Springs RD 1, died March 27, 1994, at
  J.C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon.  Born Aug. 8, 1904, in Berlin, son
  of Warren and Sally (Berkebile) Mason.  Married Jan. 13, 1927, at
  Cumberland, Md., to Elmira Baker, who died April 16, 1986.  Preceded
  in death by parents and 1 brother and 2 sisters.  Survived by these
  children: Mrs. Shirley M. Martin, Three Springs RD; William W. Mason,
  Wildwood, N.J.; and Donald J. Mason, Berlin.  Three foster daughters
  in this area: Mrs. Faye Glessner, Berlin; Mrs. Vivian Gindlesperger,
  Berlin, and Mrs. Emily Henry, Garrett; also 8 grandchildren and 2
  great-grandchildren.  Lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Berlin.  Former member of Berlin IOOF lodge and of Valley
  Grange.  Was Somerset County farmer.  Friends may call from 9:30 a.m.
  to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin.  Funeral
  service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, Pastor Melvin Kirk
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery, Berlin.  Arrangements
  by Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia.  Memorial contributions
  may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Main Street, Berlin,
