WILSON MASON

  Funeral services for Wilson Mason, 60, were conducted Thursday afternoon, 
April 2, at the Jennings Lutheran Church, Md., by Rev. A. C. Curran, pastor.  
Interment was in the Bittinger Cemetery at Bear Hill under the supervision of 
William Winterberg, local mortician.  Mr. Mason died Tuesday, March 31, after an 
illness of several months.  He had resided in this section practically all of 
his life.  Surviving besides his wife, the former Eliza Jane Burkholder, whom he 
married some thirty-nine years ago, are ten children, namely, Mrs. Oscar 
Handwerk, Mrs. Lester Bittinger, Delbert, Harry, Herbert, Dewey, Paul, Ellis, 
Leona, and Galen Mason, all residing in this community.  Also surviving are two 
half-sisters, Mrs. Gilbert Green, Grantsville, Mrs. Arthur Lininger, near 
Indianhead, Pa., and a half-brother, Frank Miller.
