    Irene L. Masteller, 94, formerly of Shanksville, died Feb. 21, 2008, at Memorial
  Medical Center. Born Aug. 18, 1913, in Catawissa, daughter of Harry L. and Lillian
  (Heiser) Aten. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clyde "Nip" Masteller; brother,
  Donald; and grandson, Danny Gene Weigle. Survived by daughters, Yvonne, married to Tom
  Weigle, Friedens; and Donna L., married to Jay Shapiro, Irwin; seven grandchildren; and
  eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Adrian Charles Aten and wife, Carol,
  Wilkes Barre. Member of Unity United Church of Christ and she loved to crochet and quilt.
  At the request of the family, funeral services will be private. The Rev. Jay Shaffer
  officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown.
