Born May 10, 1916 in Philadelphia, the son of the late Edward and Ann (Campbell) Masterson. Also preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Survived by his wife the former Catherine Elizabeth "Betty" Colliver to whom he was married for 55 years. And sons: Jeffrey P. Masterson married to the former Pamela Ziner, Johnstown and Brian L. Masterson of Somerset. Also a granddaughter, Jessica Masterson. He was the retired owner of the former Western Auto Store in Somerset, and was a driver for Somerset Welding and Steel Co. A 1934 graduate of Johnstown High School and had attended the University of Pittsburgh. Veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II. Member of the Somerset Alliance Church where he was active in the choir. Member of American Legion Post No. 181. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Somerset Alliance Church. Viewing at the church from 9 a.m. to time of service. Rev. Dr. Melvin E. Vance officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
