  EMMA C. MATHIAS
  
    Emma C. "Lottie" Mathias, 91, of Meyersdale, died April 16, 1998,
  at Windber Medical Center.
    Born March 6, 1907, in Grantsville, Md., she was a daughter of the
  late John and Savilla (Bittinger) Butler.  She was also preceded in
  death by her husband, Lester "Shorty," in 1995.
    Mrs. Mathias is survived by these children: Glenn, Woodford, Va.;
  Wayne and Lois, wife of Charles Clevenger, both of Meyersdale; six
  grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of
  Woodrow and Alton, both of Grantsville; Evelyn of Brownsville; and
  Elma of Meyersdale.
    Mrs Mathias was a member of the Meyersdale Church of Christ and the
  Meyersdale Senior Citizens.
    Friends were received April 17 at Leckemby Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where services were held April 18, with Evangelist Robert
  Long officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
