  MARY V. MATSE
  
  Mary V. Matse, 79, Quemahoning Towers, Windber, formerly of
  Hooversville, died Oct. 14, 1987, at Mercy Hospital Nursing Care
  Center.  Born July 30, 1908, in Acosta, daughter of John and Barbara
  (Berta) Mattie.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, John Sr., who
  died in 1965; brothers, John, George and Andrew; and sister, Helen
  Rizak.  Survived by these children: George, married to Joanne Oaks of
  Boswell; John Jr., married to Darlene Beltrami, Prosperity, Pa.; and
  Edward, married to Anna Mae Oster, Chambersburg; seven grandchildren
  and nine great-grandchildren.  Sister of Joseph of Listie.  Member of
  St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Windber.  Former member of Holy Family
  Catholic Church, Hooversville.  Family will receive friends from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where
  rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday.  Mass of Christian
  Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, the Rev.
  Harold N. Biller.  Interment, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
