Mattern, 52, of Sellersville, (Bucks County) died peacefully at her home Dec. 19, 2002. She was the beloved wife of Harry W. Mattern. They were married 33 years. Born in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Audrey C. (Hoffman) Alder, Sellersville and the late Philip Joseph Alder. In addition to her husband and mother, Cyri is survived by one son, Eric W. Mattern and his wife, Carolyn A. of Pennsburg and one daughter, Erin E. Maxymillian and her husband, Andrew C. of Gilbertsville; two sisters: Beverly Chalk, and her husband, Gary of Fairhope, and Audrey Walker, and her husband, David, of Friedens; one brother, Philip John Adler of Sellersville; one granddaughter, Makenna Rose Maxymillian of Gilbertsville and her mother-in-law, Mary McQuade of Berlin. She had lived in Sellersville for over 20 years. Cyri had been employed for many years as lab manager with Thomas Angelo Photography Studios, Chalfont. She was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville where she was actively involved with the music program and directed the guitar choir. An accomplished soloist, she often sang at mass, weddings and funerals. She also was a member of the Upper Bucks Choral Arts Society. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Interment was in Sellersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grand View Hospital MOU Department, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, Pa. 18960 or St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, Pa. 18960.
