  BENJAMIN FRANKLIN MATTHEWS JR.
  
    Benjamin Franklin Matthews Jr., 59, of Jeannette and formerly of
  Fort Hill, died April 9, 1995, at Jeannette District Memorial
  Hospital.  Born June 14, 1935, in Addison Township.  A son of Gladys
  (Tressler) Matthews Beachy Jenkins of Jeannette and formerly of Fort
  Hill, and the late Benjamin Franklin Matthews Sr.  Survived by two
  daughters, Benita P. Burns of Oklahoma and Benise L. Sams, Irving,
  Texas; a son, Benjamin F. Matthews III, Huntsville, Ala.; three
  grandchildren; brother, Dale E. Beachy, Jeannette, and sister Dorothy
  Kreger, Willowick, Ohio.  Preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean
  Petrea.  Retired from Chrysler Corp., Huntsville, Ala.  A member of
  the UAW.  Veteran of the Marine Corps.  Friends will be received from
  2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Humbert Funeral
  Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday,
  Rev. Richard McClintock officiating.  Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery.
