  DALTON REED MATTHEWS
  
  Dalton Reed Matthews, 77, North Huntingdon, died Dec. 2, 2001, in
  Elizabeth.  Born March 11, 1924 in Fort Hill, son of the late Reuben
  and Etta (Livengood) Matthews.  In addition to his parents, preceded
  in death by his wife, Pauline (Tate), a brother, Paul Matthews, and a
  sister, Jean Stark.  Survived by nieces, Joyce Paul, Kay Thompson and
  Lynne Matthews, and a nephew, Paul Matthews Jr.  A U.S. Navy veteran
  of World War II and retired from the Maryland Casualty Company of
  Pittsburgh.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at
  the Silbaugh Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Sherry
  officiating.  Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery.  Local arrangements by
  Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence.
