  DAVID F. MATTHEWS JR.
  
    David F. (Slim) Matthews Jr., 48, of Normalville RD 1, died
  Saturday afternoon, June 14, 1975, at his home.  Born March 25, 1927,
  in Confluence, he was a son of David F. Matthews Sr., of Confluence,
  and the late Alice (Miller) Matthews.
    He was a carpenter by occupation, and was a member of American
  Legion Post 941 of Donegal and the Sons of Columbus of Mt. Pleasant.
    Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Helen M.
  Matthews; a son, David M., at home; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur B. (Susan)
  Hill, of Greensburg; one grandchild; a brother, Jerry Matthews of
  Brookville; and a sister, Mrs. Alva (Mary Ellen) Livengood of Fort
  Hill.
    Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Jeanne Brooks King
  Funeral Home, Indianhead, with Rev. David P. Huey officiating.
