  DAVID F. MATTHEWS
  
    David F. (Pokey) Matthews, 80, Fort Hill RD 1, died July 13, 1980,
  in Somerset Community Hospital.  He was born Jan. 13, 1900, in
  Addison Township, son of the late Benjamin and Annie (Leonard)
  Matthews.  He was preceded in death by wife Rosella (King) Matthews
  and son David.
    He is survived by daughter, Mary Ellen Livengood, Fort Hill; son,
  Jerry, Penn Hills; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
  brother, William Leonard, Mt. Savage, Md.; sisters, Mrs. Edith
  Zimmerman, Fort Hill, and Mrs. Minerva Hilliard, Ursina.  He was a
  retired member of Local 3, United Ironworkers.
    Friends were received at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where
  services were held with the Rev. Richard McClintock officiating. 
  Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery.
