  JAMES WOODROW MATTHEWS
  
  James Woodrow Matthews, 71, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of
  Pittsburgh and Somerset, died Dec. 1, 1975 in Boca Raton Community
  Hospital.  Born March 3, 1904 in Wilmington, N.C. he is survived by
  his widow, the former Charlotte Cole, and these children: James W.
  Matthews Jr. of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Julia Trelease of Park Ridge,
  Ill.; a stepson Samuel C. Guy of Houston, Texas; and three
  grandchildren.  Member of the Presbyterian Church and a retired
  certified public accountant with Price-Waterhouse Co.  Member of the
  Duquesne Club, Pittsburgh; Seaview Country Club; the University Club,
  Pittsburgh; the Longue Vue Country Club; and the Somerset Rotary Club.
  Friends received after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Richard E. Hauger
  Funeral Home.  Service Friday at 10 a.m. with Dr. William Doncaster
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of
  flowers, contributions may be made to favorite charity.
